Portugal Predicted Line Up For Euro 2016 Finals and Semi-Finals Highlights

Portugal has finally secured a place in the finals by defeating Euro debutant Wales.

On the whole, the team made two goals out of which Ronaldo scored one goal all by himself and the other in unison with Nani. The team will now face either Germany or France on Sunday.

Predicted Line Up for Euro Finals 2016

Defenders: Cedric, Raphael, Bruno and Jose Fonte

Santos has been changing defenders frequently but Jose Fonte and Pepe are two names which have remained unchanged throughout the series. After Pepe’s injury, the player missed the semi- finals and return in the finals is uncertain but if he is fit to perform then he will certainly be seen in the line up. In the match against Poland, Raphael was replaced by Eliseu but the semi-finals saw the former performing again.

During the semi-finals against Wales,Cedric pushed through the game for quite sometime taking an empty shot from 35 yards in half an hour. Raphael exhibited an important tactic and was seen pinning down Christ Gunter which makes him a sure shot choice for the next match. Bruno came in as Pepe’s replacement but the decision was not a good one since he received a yellow card and was given a tough time by Kanu. Jose Fonte did extremely well considering the fact that he was crossed by Kanu on the right and was attacked by King from behind.

Midfielders: Danilo, Renato Sanches, João Mário

João Mário is expected to be in the finals as he has protected the back four rather well. Teen heartthrob Renato Sanches will also be seen in the line up as he scored well in the quarter-finals against Poland. Danilo started slow and allowed Bale to speed against him in the first half. Later on the player also came close to scoring a goal.

Attackers: Adrien Silva, Nani and Ronaldo

Known as the best forwards of Portugal, Nani, Silva and Ronaldo were the highlights of the semi-finals match. Adrien passed a cross for Ronaldo in the first half whereas Nani scored the second goal of the semi final match. During the match with Croatia, Silva did a good job at keeping Quaresma away. Ronaldo scored a goal in the semi-finals taking the team towards victory. Keeping these attributes in mind, it seems like the attacker team will remain the same in the line up for finale.

Goalkeeper: Rui Patricio

Rui Patricio has been performing heroically in the series. He saved Jakub Błaszczykowski’s penalty in the match against Poland which made him the nation’s hero. Patricio has made some brilliant saves in the tournament and has been goalkeeping extremely well. Both these factors give him a secure position in the finale.

Man of the Match

Ronaldo faced defeat in the last semi-finals against Greece in 2004. In the Euro 2008, Portugal was eliminated by world champions Germany.
